She has had a previous fatty lump removed from the same breast. She has no family \nhistory of breast cancer although her step-sister-did have ovarian cancer. She has never been on HRT and went\u2019 \nthrough the menopause approximately 10 years ago. She has been a regular attender for mammography and has \nnever had a recall. Today I was able to feel a hard irregular 1cm x 2cm mass just superior and right of the right \nnipple, there was no skin changes or tethering of the skin or underlying tissues.
