This has been assessed at the clinic radiologically and was thought to be a possible \narea of fat necrosis or mature fat and was graded as R2\/U3. ' \nWhen | examined her today it was felt that this really would be very difficult to carry out a free hand \ncore biopsy on and the lady was keen for this to be removed. As such, we have performed \ninstead, an excision biopsy under local anaesthetic. Looking at this it looked like a smalf lipoma, \nhowever, | have expressed to Mrs Clelland that if it turns out to be something more sinister, then \nshe will indeed need further surgery and she is very aware of that. \nWe will send a sample to pathology and will hopefully have the result back in abbut a week. She \nhas had a couple of stitches put in which will need removed at the practice in the next seven days. \nWe will keep you posted of her pathology results. \n- \nYours sincerely \nMr Stuart Falconer
