A brief outline of history, symptoms and signs follows: \nI would be grateful if you would see this lady who presents with a one month history of \nfrequency of urine.\u201d She does have some stress type incontinence symptoms but no \ndysuria. She also has an intermittent history of left loin pain. In view of her symptoms \na MSU was organised which showed a sterile pyuria and on perusing the notes it seems \nlike she had a previous sample in August 2003 which also showed a sterile pyuria, which \ni believe was taken prior to antibiotic treatment. She had presented in August with \nlower back pain and vomiting and at this time dip stick showed +++ blood and a trace of \nprotein. | organised some routing bloods which showed a normal FBC and U's & E's, \nbut a raised ESR of 42 and | have arranged for this to be repeated. Her third MSU was \nreported as no growth. | have organised KUB, but in view of her continuing symptoms \nand two reported samples showing a sterile pyuria, | wonder whether she warrants \nfurther investigation. \nShe has a past medical history of pre-eclampsia in 1975, medial collateral ligaments left \npatelio-femoral joint dysfunction 1990, endometrial ablation 1993, medial ligament of the \nleft knee 1990, psittocosis 1993 and her ESR was also noted to be elevated, erythema \nmultiforme 1999, chronic fatigue 1995, epicondylitis of the elbow 2000, low mood 2001, - \n- frozen shoulder 2002 and hip pain with mild degeneration of the left hip in December \n2002. She is not on any regular medication at present. \nOn examination her abdomen is soft and non-tender with no palpable masses, pv \nshowed possible mild anterior vaginal wall prolapse on coughing, it
