He is \nidentifying the para-spinal area and states that it feels like a \u201cpressure\u201d. This:constant int nature with varying intensity. He has a \npast medical history of trauma when he sustained a fracture to the L1 vertebral body following a direct blow to his flexed spine in \nJuly 2006. He has not had any physiotherapy input. His aggravating factors include bending forward and his easing factors include \nextension., He denies any pins and needles, numbness or saddle anaesthesia, and he states that he has no bowel or bladder \nsymptoms, Cough sneeze does not aggravate his symptoms. However, despite his continued use of analgesics his sleep continues \nto be disturbed. \nHe denies any significant past medical history and describes his general health as good. He is not currently taking any other \nmedications. Currently, he is an unemployed welder and last worked in January 2007. He lives alone and is independent with all \nactivities of daily living and his hobbies include swimming 3 times per week. \nOn examination todi\u00e9ty, his gait was unremarkable. In standing, he appears symmetrical with a normal lumbar lordosis. There is a \nslight prominence of the L1 spinal process. He has a good lumbar spine range of motion with no increase in symptoms. There is no \nevidence of any neurological disturbance. \nX-rays were repeated today and do show a fracture of the L1 vertebral body.
