Inferior STEMI \n2. Smoker \n3. Chronic Obstructive Airways Disease \nProcedure: \n1. Coronary Angiography \n2. Coronary Angioplasty \nThe above patient was transferred as an emergency for coronary angiography. He developed \nsevere cardiac ischaemic chest pain with ECG evidence of ST elevation inferior myocardial \ninfarction. He was transferred to the Golden Jubilee National Hospital for angiography. \nThis was uneventfully performed via the right radial route. He had essentially single-vessel disease \nwith severe proximal to mid ulcerated right coronary artery lesion with residual filling defect. This \nwas successfully treated with single drug eluting stent (3.5 x 38 mm Xience Pro). 3.756 x 15 mm \nnon-compliant balloon was used to optimise stent deployment with very good results. He had \nmodest angiographically non-obstructive left main and LAD pathology and this will be treated \nmedically with follow-up at base hospital to assess his progress, symptoms and functional status \nand screen for any evidence of reversible myocardial ischaemia. \nWe would, of course, be happy to see him in the future if necessary. Meantime | shall leave his \nfollow-up and further management in your capable hands. \\We re-emphasised the importance of \nsecondary preventive measures including smoke cessation. \nKind
