Left apical lung nodule, likely infammatory\/infective \n2. Severe COPD - FEV1 0.8 litres, 30% predicted \n3. Current smoker \n4. Raised total IgE, IgG and IgE to aspergillus \n5. Previously raised eosinophils \u2014 0.5 \n| reviewed Mr Norwood at my respiratory clinic on 23r QOctober 2025. He remains functionally \nimpaired with reduced exercise tolerance. This is in relation to his severe COPD. He is already \non maximum treatment for this and has been referred to pulmonary rehab although he was unable \nto attend this as he struggles to mobilise for this. Ve have been keeping nodules under review at \nhis left apex. Most recently a left upper lobe nodule has become cavitating. It has not increased in \nsize. | think this is most likely inflammatory or could represent atypical infection. He had aspergillus \nserology checked previously which showed he was aspergillus sensitivities and | repeated this today. \n| would be grateful if you could see him in the pulmonary infection\/TB clinic for further follow \nup regarding this cavitating nodule that does not seem likely to represent malignancy but could \nrepresent an atypical infection. \nMany thanks with this gentleman'\u2019s
