{"text":"Current Situation \nAt the time of the previous panel, 17th August, David had recently moved full-time into \nHillhead House (31st July). Discussion at the panel, although realistic about the vast amount \nof work that needed to continue with David, was optimistic. It was felt by all at the panel \nthat, as well as being a challenging environment, Hillhead House was also a very supportive \nenvironment that would provide a high level of guidance and assistance to David and help \nhim make positive life choices and build a future for himself. \nAlthough it was acknowledged it was \u201cvery early days\u201d, David advised the Panel of his \ncommitment to Hillhead House and his determination to change his life to be more positive \nand build bridges with his family. At that juncture David had also just started a full-time job \n(with training) and was speaking positively about his determination to \u2018make a go of things\u2019. \nUnfortunately, following the end of the panel, David\u2019s situation began to deteriorate rapidly. \nAfter the Panel, David went to work, but was to walk out after a few hours. The advice he \ngave workers was that he \u2018did not like it\u2019 and it was \u2018too hard\u2019. From that moment - with a \ngreat deal of time on his hands, David became (with another resident from Hillhead House) \nincreasingly a management problem; being difficult and obtuse, abusive to staff, not meeting \nhouse rules, absconding, drinking etc, and basically doing whatever he wanted. \nBy 30th August, David was in custody and appeared in Glasgow Sheriff Court for stealing \nand crashing a car in the west end of Glasgow, damaging several other vehicles and driving \nwithout a licence. He was bailed to Hillhead House pending trial on the 11th October. \nDavid\u2019s offending was particularly worrying and he seemed unable to grasp the danger he \nposed to himself and others by his actions. \nHillhead House were particularly worried because another resident was in the car with David \nand his life too was put in danger. \nHillhead accepted David back to them in the short term, however, eviction was looking a \ncertainty unless his behaviour changed. Also, as David was on bail it was discussed with him \nfully the consequences of any further incidents. \nDavid, however, showed a blatant disregard for any such advice and immediately absconded \nwith the aforementioned resident. David\u2019s actions ultimately meant David was subsequently \nevicted from Hillhead House on 5th September. \nBecause of the process of accessing resources on the Sth September, no resource was \nimmediately available for David. A referral was ongoing to CAPS (Community Alternative \nPlacement Scheme), however, this was not possible to access immediately. \nHillhead House offered to keep David one more night, however, because of things David was \nsaying - it was clear to all present, he had \u2018plans\u2019 for that evening.
