I refer to your request for information which was received on 12/12/2025.  We have dealt with your request in accordance with Article 15 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Unfortunately, we have been unable to locate any information within scope of your request.  

I regret that I am unable to supply you with the information you requested as The City of Edinburgh Council does not hold this information. Extensive searches were carried out by our Children & Families department as well as our by our SCAI team, however they were unable to locate any of the records that you have requested.

Searches were carried out using the information provided, Linda Ann Carroll and Linda Carroll Dick, DoB 06/02/1963. Unfortunately, no records were found.

As Linda was living in Glasgow prior to care and mentions that she was at Beechwood Assessment Centre which was in Glasgow, it may have been Glasgow City Council who placed her and they may hold records. They can be contacted at: Make a Subject Access Request to SWS - Glasgow City Council.  An online search shows that Snowden List D school was based in Stirling, and it may also be worthwhile contacting Stirling Council to see if they have records for her: Subject access request | Stirling Council
